Hiya Darlins

If you are a blogger I can hear you groaning "OMG late to the party"  well this blog post is not for bloggers it's for my ladies who wouldn't usually have heard of Paige Louise from Manchester!  I was blown away when I read her story
( after purchasing the base) I have to admit I was seriously impressed by her story, plus she loves her Mum which cinched the deal for me.

PLouise Base

I wanted to try out the alleged worlds best eye shadow base, one of the reasons for this was bumping into an old bird ( my age ) I once worked with, asking me what I do now I explained about the blogging and she was really quite dismissive, saying "Oh Christ I heard about eyeshadow primers and bought one"  she announced that THEY were crap, I assume she just tried one, when I asked her why she thought that she explained that she had applied a thick coat of primer and immediately added her shadow which kind of turned into a thick paste!  I could quite honestly see why she was peed off, and quite frankly why would she be expected to know any different? she had seen in the high street and assumed she needed it.

Lets start with my PLouise bases arriving, I bought 2 different shades Rumour 0.5 and Rumour 02  I am rubbish at choosing shades online so always test out more than one. Rumour 0.5 was perfect for my pasty pasty face.  It arrived within a couple of days in the cutest packaging ever, I know it's not meant to make a difference but I loved it!

Applying the base I referred to the PLouise expertise on her site and proceeded to use a flat small makeup brush ideally something like a MAC 252 would be ideal, you need plenty of the product in an almost tapping motion, this base covers EVERYTHING!  you will be left with a perfect canvas for your eyeshadow, what it does do is bring out the pigment of the shadow, so you are getting the true shades to play with. It feels slightly tacky but not wet, it allows you to blend like nothing I have ever tried and almost grabs the shadow giving it a silky feel to application.

Interestingly I read that the Makeup Revolution was a copy of this base, but when you look at the contents of both the Plouise is 15ml for £10.00 and Makeup Revolution is £4.00+ for 3.4ml so in terms of value you are better off spending £10.00 on the real deal.

Did it stand the test of time?  I checked the shadow after 3 hours (perfection) after 7 hours it still looked as fresh as it had been applied, no creasing, flaking, cracking, nothing!  Is this the worlds best eye base?  Not having tried every worldwide product on the market it's hard to say, but what I will say is ...............once you have tried this you won't want to try anything else EVER!

This is a link to the Mail Online  article I came across giving Paige's story, have a read and be as impressed as I am.
