Hi Loves,

I have been testing out something completely new to me. Cryotheraphy!  when I received the email offering me a trial I immediately thought, no no! I'm not standing in an ice blasted freezer until I turn blue.  I needn't have stressed as on reading further it turned out to be a home facial therapy and I'm all for something that keeps me indoors that's for sure.

What is Cryotherapy?

Text taken from Wikipedia.

Cryotherapy, sometimes known as cold therapy, is the local or general use of low temperatures in medical therapy. Cryotherapy may be used to treat a variety of tissue lesions.[1]The most prominent use of the term refers to the surgical treatment, specifically known as cryosurgery or cryoablation. Cryosurgery is the application of extremely low temperatures to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue and is used most commonly to treat skin conditions.
Cryotherapy is used in an effort to relieve muscle pain, sprains and swelling after soft tissue damage or surgery. It can be a range of treatments from the application of ice packs or immersion in ice baths (generally known as cold therapy), to the use of cold chambers.

001 London have produced a tool that allows you to treat your face to this cold therapy at home, by simply keeping the specifically designed tool in the freezer at all times ready for use.  The tool itself is a roller that freezes and smooths out the skin in a rolling motion. I used this in conjunction with the Alpha-Glow Flash Facial, a power packed 3 in one serum, primer and mask that allows the tool to glide easily over the skin while at the same time boosting the skin with much needed nutrients, including  Hyaluronic Acid (low molecule 30,000-20,000g), Phospholipids,  Vitamin A Retinyl Palmitate, Salicylic Acid,Alpha-Arbutin, Stable Vitamin C, and to reduce inflammation Aloe Polysaccharides, Rose Stem Cells, & Vitamin E.

What it did.
I used this with some trepidation as I am not a lover of cold or at least I didn't think I was!  It was nothing less than fabulous to use, rolling my face with the icy roller was an absolute joy, it felt really quite strange at first and then became such a soothing experience I was loathed to put it down. I used the roller for about 15-20 minutes and once finished my face was positively glowing, with reduced puffiness and tighter looking skin, whilst my face was a little pink the addition of the Alpha-Glow Flash Facial meant that I was moisturised, primed and ready to apply make up, which I have to say applied exceptionally well.  I didn't expect to love this product at all, I did think it was going to be just another gimmick but can hand on heart say I love using it.  Facials aside it is a fabulous tool to use to ease a headache or aching tense muscles, yes I have tried it out for both and it was amazing. This is not the cheapest product I have tried, BUT I have used skincare alone at more than this price and didn't see immediate results as I did with the Cryopress. Both the tool and the Alpha-Glow Flash Facial can be bought separately, but currently there is a Christmas set available with a big saving on the separate prices. non sponsored  ( link below)

  1. Oooh! Sounds like my kind of gadget. Must it be used with the treatment you used it with or can it be used on it's own?

    1. I used it alone with great results, but can also be used with any of your favourite serums.
