Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator | Ballerina
The highlight of my day ( get my clever pun ? ) was trying out this Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in the shade Ballerina from Laura Geller.
I know a lot of ladies my age probably won't have used a highlighter before, we tend to stick with what we know and not trouble ourselves with the whole contour / highlight thing and stick with a bit of blusher, and that's ok if that's what you are happy with, but I urge you to try something new, I'm not saying we need to go the whole Kim Kardashian face contour, but what I am saying is that highlighting can give you a glow and a freshness like nothing else can, there are girls reading this, thinking "what is she talking about everyone uses highlighter ! "
yes, everyone does nowadays, but us ladies of a certain age sometimes stick to only what we know.
Here is an example of how it gives just give cheekbones a glow and more definition. There are lot's of make up videos on YouTube that will get you wanting to play with your face more :)
I personally have used highlighters for a while now, and have tried lots, from cheapies to quite pricey ones and they really do vary, this particular one from Laura Geller I have found to be amazing, some have a tendency to be really dry and powdery and just highlight wrinkles !........No thanks.
The consistency of this one while it is a powder the quality is soft and really well pigmented so you only need the smallest amount for the perfect glow. The shade Ballerina I have found to be incredibly flattering, far more than my usual, white/silver tones.
For highlighter fans, you will be amazed at the quality, the only downside..........it looks so gorgeous in it's pallet I didn't want to spoil it :)
