Wrinkles, Grey Hair, Stretch Marks and Age Spots

OK, now I have your attention with the title of this post, I need to start by saying I don't have any miraculous remedies in this blog, I just wanted to talk about the things we see as the years cheating us.

Claudine Penedo

I remember getting to 30 something ( yes ,I know you are impressed that I can remember that far back ) and asking my Mum when do you actually feel like a grown up ?  I had children, full time pressure filled career, mortgage etc, and yet still had moments when it all felt way to grown up for me.

My Mothers answer was NEVER...........we never feel any different inside, we still get the playground feeling of being left out if we are not invited to the party, we still get the Bogey man fears  when facing something really scary,  and butterflies at a romantic  moment, even though to our children we are grown ups.

Ageing is bullshit, don't even think about it as a topic, I know some people that seriously want to be old before their time and I know others that are just plain miracles for their age.

why not just let it be ? don't give it any importance, of course at a certain age we need to take care of things a little better  ( don't want to be breaking a bloody hip ) and we are desperately trying to repair the years of abusing our poor bodies, with booze, cigs, drugs, fast food etc .

What is it they say about hindsight ?  if I had known in my 20's and thirties how fast it all happens  ( declines) I would have taken a lot more care at an earlier age.  hey ho, I believe we owe it to ourselves to do the best we can with the cards we are dealt, if that means spoiling yourself with massages, anti age products, and the best body cream you can afford, so be it, do whatever it takes to make you look and feel good, if you suddenly bought the car of your dreams, you sure as hell would look after it, service it etc, it would be a crime not to,  so why not you ?

Food for thought I hope.
